We’re ready to put an end to the hiding from ourselves. Having made the personal inventory, there might be some glaring problems with ourselves popping out. Well, it ought to be that way.
So we have the list, and we’re ready to talk to another person, to God, and get it all out on the table. The Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book says if we skip this vital step we may not overcome drinking. Makes sense.
We have a decision to make. Hide our heads in the sand in shame, or own it, seek to learn from it, make it right again and move on.
