“You can’t make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.” — Fight Club

When we step back and look at the bigger picture, it’s kind of undeniable… life’s been good. Not perfect, but good in a real, steady way since we started hanging around AA. We’re not getting everything we want, but we’re starting to be okay with that—and that’s new.

Somewhere in there, we took Step Three. We asked God to build with us, not really knowing what that meant. And things started moving. People came and went. Situations ended. Doors closed. At first it felt random. Now it feels like something’s actually being built.

If we slow down, we can see it—less reacting, more acceptance, better timing, a little more peace. Our new motto is life on life’s terms, and it turns out living that way hasn’t crushed us. It’s actually made life lighter. More manageable. More real.

And now we want more of that.

All over AA, we see people living lives better than anything they planned for themselves. Not perfect—just real and full. And for the first time, it feels possible for us too.

So we’re getting ready to do our part.

Because if something new is going up, something old has to come down. We’re not trying to be held back by our self-centeredness anymore. We’ve seen where that leads.

So we’re willing to take an honest look. On paper. No spin.

Not to punish ourselves—just to clear the ground so something better can be built.

What in your life are you still protecting that might actually need to be torn down?
